What kind of accessories can I buy?

We have a lot of accessories, e.g., cane holders, shopping bags, reflectors, tray tables, ice spikes for your cane, and various types of comfort backrests. For those who find it difficult to brake downhill or can only brake with one hand, we also have something very special, namely the One-hand brake and drag brake. We recommend that you purchase it together with your new rollator, as it will then already be mounted for you when we send it off.

Does the accessory fit my old rollator?

We have a lot of accessories that fit many general rollators. However, we recommend that you contact customer service regarding possible accessories if you do not have one of our rollators, or if the shape and width of your seat do not match ours. If you need an extra cane holder, you need to measure the circumference or diameter of the tube.

What kind of rollators do your accessories fit?

We have accessories for the brands SERVER, ATHLON, EXPLORER, and NAVIGATOR. We know from experience that the rollator often offered by the municipality is the Gemino brand, which is a slightly older model. Our tray tables and shopping bags unfortunately do not fit them, as they have a very different seat shape. Our drag brakes and one-hand brakes are sold both pre-mounted and as extra accessories. If you need them installed on your old rollator, we recommend that you get help with assessment and installation from an experienced bicycle mechanic.

How do I find the right type of backrest?

You can find many different sizes of backrests, depending on your size and how much space you need to lean back slightly. If you are a small lady, you will most likely need a size small. If you are a large man, most people choose a size large. In addition, we also have a slightly more luxurious and comfortable backrest. COMFORT. It is for those who have a slightly sore or sensitive back, or simply love a little extra soft support when you take a break. The right size backrest can help you find balance, peace, and rest while you take a well-deserved break.

What can help me brake downhill?

We have a special braking system called a drag brake. It can be adjusted with different types of resistance, so it helps you slow down. It is also used by many who tend to lean forward a lot, shifting their center of balance. In such a situation, you risk tripping forward with your rollator if you get too much speed. This drag brake can be advantageously purchased and installed from the start on your new rollator. If you need it installed on your current rollator, we recommend that you get a bicycle mechanic or mechanic to help you.

What can help me brake with only one hand?

Many people with, for example, arthritis, Parkinson's, and multiple sclerosis, may at times find it difficult to brake equally well with both hands, and some can only brake with one hand. This is not a problem if you have our One-hand brake installed. Also called a one-hand brake.

What kind of shopping bag fits my rollator?

If you have one of our well-known rollator brands, you can easily find a bag that matches your seat width. It is described under each product. Most of our accessories also fit the brands GEPARD, TIGER, LEOPARD. How many kilos can your shopping bag carry?

Most of our shopping bags can carry up to 5 kilos. If you need another alternative to be able to carry more kilos home from shopping, we also have a nice large XL Shopper, with a built-in folding chair that you can unfold if you need a rest.

I want to take my cane with me on a trip, but I don't have a cane holder?

We have a type of cane holder that is purchased as a complete set. It fits our brands, but can be adapted to many other models. You just need to measure the circumference of the tube and check with our measurements. They are easy to assemble with a regular screwdriver.

Can I buy a tray table for my rollator?

We have many different types of tray tables. Both for our outdoor and indoor models, and for our walker PIXEL. If you do not have one of our well-known brands, you are welcome to contact our experts in the field via our customer service.

What kind of ramp for rollators should I choose?

At seniorpleje, we have a large selection of different types of ramps. We have both slides, wheelchair ramps, portable, foldable, and the ultra-light small suitcase ramps. 

As a rollator user, however, we recommend that you acquire a stable ramp for wheelchair users. Preferably with a good length, so the incline or the ascent itself does not become too steep. The preferred length is between 90-150 cm depending on the height of your exterior doorstep. We also recommend that the surface of the ramp is rough and has a non-slip coating, so you have good footing both up and down the ramp.

What do I do with my doorsteps if they are too high?

As a rollator user, it can often be a big challenge if your home is equipped with old-fashioned high doorsteps. They can be difficult to overcome with a rollator or walker, and it requires both balance and strength to get yourself and your aid over the doorstep. At the same time, it can unfortunately also be a source of many falls in the home. Especially if you have impaired vision, have difficulty coordinating your movements, or judging distances.

If you have not future-proofed your home optimally, we almost always recommend that you start with doorstep solutions, in the form of, for example, door rails, rubber ramps, or aluminum door strips.
