Should I choose a rain cover with or without sleeves?

If you have an assistant to push you around in your wheelchair, you can easily use a poncho-style rain cover without sleeves. This allows you to keep your hands warm and dry under the rain cover itself, so sleeves are not necessary.

If, on the other hand, you operate your manual wheelchair, power wheelchair, or mobility scooter yourself, it will typically be most comfortable to have your arms and hands free to steer. In this case, you will get the best comfort by choosing a rain cover with sleeves.

In fact, we believe that such a rain cover with long sleeves is indispensable if you are used to getting around on your own.

Why choose a warm rain cover with soft inner lining?

A regular rain cover for wheelchair users, whether for a power wheelchair or a manual wheelchair, can be used all year round, as long as you remember to wear appropriate outerwear for the season so you don't get cold under your rain cover.

However, a regular rain cover can be difficult to use for people with reduced mobility in e.g. arms and shoulders, and here a warm rain cover with an inner fleece lining will be a better solution. The lined rain cover has a fantastic ability to keep you both warm and dry at the same time, and you avoid the struggle of putting on extra outerwear, because the rain cover protects well against wind and weather - a superb all-in-one solution that simply pulls over the head just like a regular rain cover.

Why are some of your hoods transparent?

On some of our ponchos, you will notice that the sides are transparent. This is an extra functional detail that gives you a better view in traffic, where many ordinary rain hoods often hinder the ability to navigate safely and with sufficient side visibility. Our models with transparent sides on the rain hood protect you from rain and wind and at the same time increase your safety in traffic. They are available for both wheelchair users and mobility scooters.

Are there reflectors on your poncho rain covers?

Yes, all our ponchos/winter ponchos have reflective stripes. The placement varies, but they are all tested and approved for use in traffic. It is precisely in rain and wind that we are most difficult to spot, and it is unfortunately all too easy to be overlooked by motorists when it is raining and dark. Therefore, reflectors on the rain cover are absolutely indispensable.

What size poncho should I choose?

Since we have many different types of fleece rain covers for wheelchairs, rollators, and mobility scooters, it is difficult to create a general size guide. Some models are one-size, while others have some slightly special sizes. Guidance for choosing a size can always be found under the individual products.

We are always ready to help you find the right model and size. Call our customer service, where we offer healthcare advice.
