This can be debilitating for those who experience it often and can affect our quality of life, energy levels, and mental health.
I myself struggle with periodic migraines and a lot of tension headaches, and therefore, as both a pain patient and a nurse, I have chosen to delve into the different types of aids. In this article: Cooling migraine masks.
For many years... ever since I was a young girl in the 1990s, I have suffered from periodic migraines. Back then, you just took a couple of paracetamol and placed a bag of frozen peas or a freezer bag on your forehead. Luckily, it worked, but it wasn't very comfortable to lie with.
There are so many different products on the market; some don't work at all, and with others, the quality varies greatly.
I have thrown myself into this jungle over the past year... In search of the best migraine masks, cooling caps, and gel masks for the whole face.
As humans, we are very individual when it comes to pain management and pain threshold. Our headaches/migraines can feel very different, and we can individually have particularly affected areas in the head and face.
We have therefore succeeded in finding 3 very different products, which vary in whether they enclose the entire head, are closed like a cooling cap, or are more like a soft cooling headband that you adjust to the circumference of your head.
The three different cooling masks we have selected for Senior Care will be briefly presented below:
1) Cooling cap with soft internal fleece. Closed like a regular cap. Removable cooling pads that are inserted into the cap. Suitable for migraines, tension headaches, hangovers, chemotherapy, prevention of hair loss.

2) Migraine mask that covers eyes, face, and base of the skull. Purple. Elastic material and opening at the top for ponytail, bun, etc. One-size. Fast-acting effect. This is a customer favourite.

Cooling gel mask, adjustable circumference with Velcro & fleece. Soft and lovely fleece on the inside. Functions as a cooling headband, and you choose whether it should cover your eyes. Does not cool the neck.
